You reached 3rd floor. Now the real lesson begins.
Solid idea- lacking execution.
Neat little rogue like fps with a wizard theme.
But it feels too low budget for my taste.
-no hit feedback
-very basic in terms of graphics
-buggy/rough around the edges (doors are invisible from time to time etc.)
Got if for free from gog. Played 20 min- guess wont play anymore.
Expected Heretic got Harry Potter, 🤦🏻♂️.
Map dividet to small chambers what is anoing.
Weak gameplay.
HUD uredable.
No Go for me, give me my money.
one pro - got native linux version - buy to support 🐧 LINUX
I wish I knew it before I bought it. I don't know if it's me or it's those new games, but even without motion blur, I can't play it for more than 5 minutes without feeling intense nausea - too much movement on the screen and the movement .... is weird.
Too much locked content: Characters unlock only if you deal enough damage with a certain type of weapon first or kill enough of a certain enemy, if these do not show up in your dungeon runs then you're shit out of luck. Want to play on endless difficulty? Too bad, first complete the game at normal difficulty.
The game is not a challenge, it's a meat grinder: It combines many small rooms filled with obstacles and traps with numerous enemies that fire tracing or leading shots that deal damage in an area or even continue to deal damage in an area, on top of that health does not regenerate and health drops are rare and disappear if you don't pick them up fast enough. There are even enemies with rapidly firing ranged attacks that can't be dodged. Enemies will target and fire at you even if they can't see you, meaning you can be hit just for peeking from behind a wall due to enemies leading the target with their shots. Ammo for weapons while plentiful can still leave you empty if you're not getting the ammo you need, they also disappear if not picked up fast enough, plus there's a limit to how much you can carry of it. But the worst aspect is its random weapon drops and leveling, didn't get the right perks? Too bad, your dungeon run is doomed. Got the same type of weapon while you still only have 1 type of weapon? Too bad, you can only carry 1 of each type so now your missing out on twice the firepower and ammo. Also your main weapon is almost useless, its only use is its unlimited ammo.
Your field of view is so low to the ground you feel like a garden gnome, it's off-putting. The dungeon sometimes has mismatching rooms/debry/scenery. You can get stuck on the normal stairs.
Game has no customisable difficulty or map settings, you just have a few standard options (easy, normal, endless, etc.). You can't set if you want more rooms or enemies, or alter drop rates or weapon drops, or add modifier like unlimited ammo.
The game is perfectly playable but it isn't much fun.
not bad as such but very short, and easy at least on normal. i died once and on the second try i completed the game. big that´s it? feeling. But it´s not really a bad game as such.
