Zapper is an action-packed and addictive game that starts with the “avoid-em-up” game play mechanics of Blitz Games’ own Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge, and then takes the action to a whole new level. In this action-adventure game, Zapper (a cricket) hops his way through six interactive worlds in a quest to find his brother, held captive by the evil magpie queen. Dangerous traps and even more dangerous enemies await Zapper. It will take fast-footed skill and timing to conquer all the worlds and survive the final showdown with the magpie queen.

Played on Xbox as a kid
I played this on Xbox when I was a kid. Had no clue it has a PC version. I remember it being pretty okay and reminiscent of frogger's adventure.

I actually have the CD to this game IRL
Zapper is indeed a videogame - one of the videogames of all time. I remember pouring hours into this game and beating it. I played that game so much as a 7-year-old that I remember each levels' opening stages almost 19 years (as of writing this review) later. I also remember being frustrated with this game and I remember that it was an ok game that once I beat as a kid, I was satisfied to put down and never play again. Now I feel as if God himself is nudging me in the shoulder to try it again, but I really don't feel like it. To tell the truth, I'm actually shocked anybody other than me remembers this game even exists because I remember almost nobody knowing about, let alone playing the game, so seeing it here on GoG is kinda reality-warpy but in a way I'm ok with.

Crazy This Game Is On Here
Ahhh nostalgia... I played the crap out of this game as a kid. The weird deaths and vibes of the game, the music, and the somewhat engaging gameplay (that a young me found quite difficult) led to the satisfying feeling of beating this game. Good game, pretty short. Environments are fun and all different. Boss battle(s?) are mid. Worth a few dollars for sure!
