Would not recommend the remake

Major bugs in basic game mechanics (rocket robots don't shoot, APCs can't be used). No multiplayer possible. Screens between missions have errors. German text when leaving game has an error. On the plus/pro side: You get the old graphics, sound fx, music, cutscenes, nostalgia. UI during game is enhanced (info about units and battles). Enemy A.I. seems to work okay, similar to the old game.

Missing DLL (msvcr110.dll).

Doesn´t work on my two Laptops. After install this missing DLL the issue wasn´t fixed

Make your own judgements

This game is plain fun. You will make decisions. Sometimes they will be bad. You will spend hours attempting to find the right strategy for each map. learn from my fail. The only strategy that really works is to spam early and spam lots. You will spend the first frantic ten minutes establishing superiority and then combat will taper off. That's just the way the game plays. Whether or not it works on your system is something you will have to try. However, there are demos available and you can find one to try and see if it fits your style. Give it a shot, but don't hold your breath. Final Word: Demo first, Buy later
