But there's no excuse for such a bad camera in a 3d platformer. Nor the unskippable cutscenes and "UH UH UH UH" "dialogue". I can't see beyond that when a game is so willing to waste my time.
But they were right to remove Jontron.
There may or may not be a great game here. I will never know because the game fail to detect my XBOX controller, give no input device or key binding options, and in-game button press instructions only match XBOX button layouts making them impenetrable.
Capitalist villain, check.
Censorship, check.
SJW logic, check.
Playtonic has seemingly created a nostalgic and fun platformer, reminiscent of a similar game involving a bear and a bird, right? Yet something appears to be missing from many reviews, discussions, and posts. Much like the copy/paste indie-devs, Playtonic has taken up censoring its customers. Not only that, they claim to be doing this, among other things, to create a game "everyone can enjoy." Playtonic has wronged its customers by doing these things and must set them right. I would say Yooka-Laylee is a pass, until such time as Playtonic can correct their conduct and make amends with their customers.
