An unusual error manifests on April 4th, a day that echoes the enigmatic code 404. A vision which ignites an undying obsession and threatens to unravel the boundaries of his world.
Combat in YIIK I.V is an arcane dance, a turn-based system where players use everyday weapons against bizarre entities, aided by the power of Karta. When players or enemies take damage, they start to bleed, and every action taken while bleeding brings them closer to defeat. It’s a race against time to outlast the enemy and stem the flow of blood.
Navigate landscapes that blur the line between reality and dreams. These spaces are filled with intricate puzzles, deadly traps, and odd adversaries that challenge your perception, pushing the boundaries of what you know to be real.
The narrative shifts between the perspectives of Alex and the Nameless Child, drawing you into their separate yet intertwined realities, each twist revealing deeper layers of their destinies.
The game’s soundtrack features over 200 tracks across a wide range of genres, from drum and bass to progressive rock. Much of the music is performed by live musicians, adding a vibrant and authentic layer to the experience.

Really unique game.
As of 2025, this game is really enjoyable. Very weird game, but I enjoy the weird aspects of the game a lot. The new combat system is quite fun.

It's okay..
I maybe had higher expectations about this game than I should have. I like it a lot but honestly it's exausting to play at some points. Though the gameplay and story aren't too bad honestly. The most troubling and annoying thing is probibly how preachy it gets. If you want to teach some morals in your game it's fine but don't go having the characters just throw it at the player in a way that's frankly it's cringy. Basically "White people don't think about the troubles of black people." is completely misses because you just had the characters say that and didn't go through the trouble to imply it in the story, It's insulting in a way because you the developer are implying the player wouldn't catch onto that kind of lession unless they had it screamed at their faces. Your delivery needs some work and you want to have the player come to those conclusions and learn those things for themselves and not just throw it in their faces. This game would definately get another star if the story wasn't structered the way it was and delivered right.

I LOOOVE BEING IN YIIK!!!
Alex Yiik comes back home from college to use his liberal arts degree to get the groceries for Mommy. Along the way he makes friends with a bunch losers and a Girl and they learn about different realities, they do a Earthbound reference for 50 hours, ride a cool skateboard, disregard child suicide, fight poop and a llama, and SO MUCH MORE!!! Is our reality doomed? Will Alex kiss Vella? Will Alex's voice over ever get compressed by the editor? How many minigames will our heroes have to master in order to progress the plot? Something something Soulspace? All these questions and MORE can only be answered by plunging face first into the World of YIIK!

One of the best RPGs I have ever played
YIIK is simply a good game. It opens the players eyes to the horrors of the modern-day world, in this case the town of Frankton, New Jersey. YIIK is a very emotional story for me, it's splendid, I'd say. You should buy this game, in my opinion, kiddo.

Pretty good
Made an account just for this review. Disregard all the negative reviews of this game, all of them are addlepated trolls who find Ghost of A Tale entertaining and have never played an actually good RPG with decent depth. Buy it ASAP.
