NO MODS for GOG Version
GOG version of this game disables Mod support. No mod launcher. No consistent workarounds. A good game with mods. But do not buy it here.

Overheats CPU
The game has problems overheating computers. Used 2 gaming laptops, the second less then 72 hours old. CPU temperatures in the first het 100 degrees, the second, 80+ degrees within 5 minutes of play. In both cases, it was CPU temp. Dropping the settings had little to no effect. Damaged my first laptop (overheat) and looks like it could do the same to a second. I will be trying this recommendation. https://steamcommunity.com/app/268500/discussions/0/412446292760906102/ As cleaning dust out my laptop was NOT the problem. (1 cleaned it. 2 New) "Just in case anyone is worried about over heating their GPU's. As i am on my Laptop. You can edit the 'BaseEngine.ini' file in XCOM 2 game folder. There you will find a line reading 'MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62' I just changed the 62 to 40 and made sure the Smoothe Frame setting was turned on in game. Works fine.... And hopefully no more fire coming out the side of my Laptop.... ;p"
