Solid with crashes
I'm enjoying the game after returning after quite a long absence from XCOM and GOG. Not long into a few missions, I had CTD and lost my progress on the mission. Shared with my brother who has had a similar experience previously. Still enjoyable game regardless.

Great potential, some weaknesses.
The concept checks a lot of boxes for tactical interest and most of the game play is great. There is however a weird disconnect between what's on screen and what the numbers say. And random number generation makes it as much a game of luck, or save scumming, as it is a game of strategy. Each of those issues is significant enough to take off a star. Graphics, story, and sound are fine, a little outdated by 2025, as is understandable.

Rookie Mode
The game is enjoyable, but unfortunately Rookie mode is not that easy and makes it hard to finish campaign. So many times I have restarted a new game but still never easy.
