Physics Puzzle from the Nentendo Wii era

Easy to Challenging
Easy to challenging but ultimately doable puzzles, mostly. Decent interface, mostly. Occasionally a bit frustrating. Enough variability to not feel repetitive. Graphics are better than adequate. More relaxing than stressful, usually. Positive atmosphere. Fun. Reasonably priced. If you aren't a puzzle lover, pick this up when on sale and it might surprise you. In 2019, stable (on Linux).

a puzzler, not a builder
(review based on stand-alone version, not gog) If you are expecting a building/engineering game like e.g. the bridge builder series, then you will be disapointed. The literally "gooy" game mechanics do limit buildings to triangles of one predefined size most of the time, so you can only build very basic designs. (you can do right angled instead of equal sided ones - that's it. A box girder with diagonal reinforcements is theoretically possible but will be prevented by the hot-spot snapping in many cases) Also the gooy statics prevent any large scale buildings (record heights in free mode are obtained by luck and speed, the flexible structures cannot be prevented from tilting to breaking point after a short time). On the other hand available goo types change ever so often, requiering the use of new mechanis to solve the new obstacles put in your way. This way you have to plan something new in every level, but alas never anything big. Also the later levels will rely more and more on good timing on your side and many a level does not allow for later corrections of errors.
