Not as good as new order
despite being made after the game its supposed to be a prequel to, this game feels like a janky prototype. some of the UI/controls is rougher than previous games, the gun play is generally less satisfying, and its inconsistent with the game that came before it

Hands-down, the best Wolfenstein game.
I mainly played this through Steam, but make no mistake: This IS the best one. It plays out like a best-of reel, with the atmosphere of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Raven's Wolfenstein, and the alternate history setting and gameplay of New Order (which this game serves as a prequel to). Combine it all with solid writing, visuals and the best version of protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, and you basically have a Must-own for any self-respecting shooter fan, as well as the perfect jumping-off point for newcomers to the Wolfenstein series. 9/10 (the only reason why it's not a 10 is because it uses Id Tech 5 and requires a file called the idTweaker to run properly, unlike New Order/Old Blood's sister game, Doom 2016)

Shooter done right!
TL;DR Its awesome in every aspect of shooter and you should buy it! So I bought New order and Old blood recently to play since it was on discount and I recently replayed Return to castle wolfenstein. The new order was complete shit and I would not recommend it to anyone. It has its own story which is complete shit, bla bla bla abd game. The old blood took what is good in new order, which is EXCELLENT gunplay and removed all the bad stuff like cutscenes, scripted events and story. There are scripted events but very little. There is story but in just right amount, it explains why you do this and that is perfectly fine. So why old blood is good is that they put AMAZING gunplay of new wolfenstein games and let you shoot, guns are much better here than in new order and make much more sense, they dont remove your weapons every 10 minutes but you get to keep them and use whatever you want and did i mention they let you shoot enemies and dont stop the fun and action just to show 2 minutes cutscene how they "found new awesome weapon of destruction" that nobody cares about. Also game in last third introduces ZOMBIES which is AWESOME feel and return to old games while new order uses robots which are bad for me. So game is amazing, you go, you shoot, you kill, kick of weapons and feel is amazing. So what is bad in this game? Honestly very little, texture "buffering" in new order which i didnt notice here. 1 or 2 sections were a bit annoying like killing 2 ubersoldiers which are animated so you cant move yet enemies can shoot you and kill but i passed in 10th try i think. Second "bad" thing is that game feels a bit short? Probably because its great fun so you want more yet if it was extended it may become tedious, maybe? Overall I think it took me 5 hours to beat the game. There are challanges at end where you can speed run some sections of levels and get best score but to me it seems boring. Rating: BUY! PLAY! 5 stars (new order: got low 3 only because of gunplay).

TNO improved, good job!
Liked * level design is better, the environment is more believeable. Less "arena-like" * combat is still fun * stealth is not too much. The right amount between action scenes. This game is really close to my favorite (Escape from Butcher's Bay) * less boring cinematics and minimal-interaction scenes! * game is stable, no bugs or glitches encountered * no lockpick/hotwire minigame! Yay! Didn't like * bossfights are predictable and boring (there are only two) * support cast is a step back from TNO (Fergus/Wyatt is more interesting than Wesley, J/Tekla is more interesting than Kessler, Deathshead/Engel is more interesting than Helga/Rudi Jaeger) * even shorter than TNO, about 7-8 hours only In general I liked it better than The New Order. Less cinamtics->more actual play, no lockpick/hotwire, no "press E to take her hand" scenes. In general I had a good time, and feel that this is an improvement over TNO in every way.

It's...Fine...I guess
As it says...It's...fine. Graphics are quite good but unmemorable. Sound is...okay I guess? Level design is...serviceable, I might be able to remember some of the settings in a year, but...probably not. The storyline is throwaway but okay. Best thing is the gunplay which is the the upper end of average as long as you don't feel like the game really wants you to play stealthily. Oh and nice touch with the bonus levels as throwback to the old Wolfenstein. Too bad they managed to make it an altogether slower and less fun affair than the original. Play this if you liked New Order and don't feel like going through that game again, or if you just want another beige shooter. But honestly, if you want all out action, or a good stealth experience, there are many better out there.
