Why is this critically acclaimed?

I came across this title while searching "must-play" PS4 games. I saw it was on here for half the price so I decided to pick it up. As someone who has enjoyed many narrative driven not-really-games in the past, I was really looking forward to checking this out. Unfortunately, I just finished it and am wishing I was able to refund it. Despite what most other reviews say, this game has a really awful story. I don't even want to call it a story because it's just a bunch of random scenes that are in no way connected to each other and an ending that leaves you wondering why you just wasted 2+ hours of your life. The only positive about this game is the graphics but that's meaningless to me when there's 0 entertainment value. Do yourself a favor and just watch this game on YouTube if you really are curious about it because this game isn't worth your time or money.

A wonderfull story

A very good environment, the house is beautifull, and the story is heart touching. Grafic can be improved a little but it's very good anyway and there are sometimes problem with the camera going to the subtitles instead of be complitely free. One of the best game ever played!

An original idea, very well done

The game stands out in various ways. The world is very well designed, almost joyful to watch and discover in itself. The game principle is to enact several episodes of a story, each centered around the death of a family member. The episodes are lovingly designed, keeping a balance between a beautiful, authentic and a slightly eerie atmosphere. The designers use creative and clever narrative techniques, which makes this game a piece of art.

Wow!

It blew me away! This title had one of the most beautifully crafted stories I have ever witnessed, the graphics too were wonderful and just the sheer creativity of surroundings and tasks was mind-boggling. I've noticed a lot of negativity in reviews about this title, and I have to say they are not without justification, because this is not a game, at least not in the common sense. This is more like an interactive movie, a beautiful movie, almost like a dream where you feel as though you're part of the action as you have to solve riddles and complete tasks in order to progress to the next scene. When you think of it as an interactive movie, suddenly the two hours or so that it takes to complete it make sense, it's movie length. I guess like me, a lot of people don't want it to end. Someone said they wouldn't pay $5 for it, well I would pay considerably more, the experience it provides is worth every penny you'll pay. Highly recommended!

warning: no key bindings

Some it may not bother at all; and if you play with a controller, you're probably fine. But I think it is important to get this warning before you buy this game: It doesn't support key binding. You are stuck with the keys the developers chose (and do not tell you). If that doesn't work for you - don't buy this game. There's no way to change the movement keys.
