Need to know what you're up to

Very short and simple/straightforward/easy adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously but doesn't crack into parody. Big plus is the stylish hand drawn graphics that reminds of 90's adventures and of course the exotic voodoo theme taken from the different point of view than Gabriel Knight - in a way it's a kind of post-colonial take but don't wory, it doesn't rub your nose in it. Light game for one afternoon - if you're ready for this, you will enjoy - at least I did. But don't expect some hard core puzzles or rich story. It workes with noir tropes and does it good.

Crafted with love, well-designed

A well-designed adventure - very fair with puzzle difficulty. Old-school gamers will find it too easy but I found it justttt right. It's in that perfect sweet spot where some puzzles are a bit tricky but you know the game is playing fair and you know it's already hinting the solution to you somewhere so you never get frustrated enough to need to look up a walkthrough. The music and art are fun, the setting is subtly hilarious, and the characters (especially the main character) are very easy to love (or hate). The story is simple in a fun campy B movie way. Strongly recommend, can't wait to see what this developer comes up with next.

Comedy is subjective

The tough thing about games aiming for comedy is that it's super subjective and in this one none of the jokes landed. This writing was ok if a bit on the dumb side. No puzzles beyond simple item combining. Voice acting was decent. Most of the game consists of talking to people until new dialogue options open for previous people then talk to them and repeat. 2.5 stars
