Priced Right
So, while this game is not an epic strategy game, it's also priced right where it belongs. And that's not a bad thing. I got frustrated with not being able to see behind some stuff, because you can't rotate the camera very far in either direction, but its still fun as heck to start with nothing, chop down trees and mine ore, build a village and a militia, and then go take over an island. Each level is more difficult than the last, and there's always something new about each level that you have to overcome. While I don't know that I'd call it an intelligent game, its not just a repeat of what I've played before. And, let's be honest, for $7.00, you could do way worse. The game makers know they didn't build an epic game, just a fun little strategy game that's well worth your time for such a bottom-dollar price. If you liked games like StarCraft, Valhalla Hills is right up your alley.
