Let's Face It
Any low score review for this game is just wrong. I have never been one to care about graphics. To me, it's all about gameplay. And this gem has it in spades. The first Ultima was the game that got me started on computer RPG's, but it was this one that made my love for them concrete. You owe it to yourself to try this classic, especially if you love RPG's.

The game that started it all.
Quite possibly the best RPG ever made. It was arguably improved upon in the future but this is what started it all at least for me. The game that really put Ultima as the grand master of RPG's in computer gaming in the 80's and the early 90's.

One of the best game I have ever played
In the summer of 1985 I played Ultima IV: Quest of Avatar more than anything else I did. More than 2 decades later I still have fond memories of this awesome game. Thanks Richard Garriot. Can't wait to hear that music again.

A game to all gamers, old and new
A friend lent me his original U4 (back then computer games were freaking hard to find in Brazil). I was awed for the material inside the box - but even more with the game. I still have Ultima 9 Ascension - the huge Dragon Box, which comes with all the older games and lots of stuff (including a small ankh) - and guess which game besides U9 I started re-playing? U4, of course!
