Terrible game...

I played this on the X-Box when it was first released and frankly, I would not waste my money giving it another try. The gameplay was beyond terrible, the graphics were far below sub-par, the voice acting was worse than the movies you can find on sci-fi channel or others of the same ilk and so on. I lasted an hour playing the game and I can tell you now, 100%, this is the single, worst game I can remember ever having the misfortune to play. I am not just hating on the game because it seems to be 'in fashion' or anything of the like, I just found it that bad. RPG's have been amongst my top games since the good old days of Baldurs Gate, Torment and Fallout... But this? It's just beyond what words can say. What's more shocking, is the user reviews. People claiming this is better than Oblivion, that it's amongst the best RPG they've played etc, etc, etc. All I can say is 'either' these people are part of the dev team who made it (but then, even THEY have admitted to the public that the game was terrible...), or these people have never 'actually' played an RPG prior to loading this game... Heed my words. Do not waste your money.

Great RPG

I'm not big on RPG's to begin with, sticking to the RTS side of things usualy. This is one of the exceptions, along with BauldIr's Gate & the Icewind Dale titles. I remember wandering around in this huge world, fighting monsters, and just feeling free to do whatever I wanted. Sometimes I would run from a fight, other times I would let them have it. I never got to finish the game, if that's possable, due to DRM issues. I bought it as a download and apparently installed my quota of times. Direct 2 Drive sold out to somebody that I didnt really want to deal with, etc. So even though I had it on my hard drive, I could not use it. GOG is heaven, you know.

don't play this game

There are far more better rpgs available. You should play Gothic 1, 2, 3 or Risen instead. I had heard a lot of bad things about this game but at the beginning, sure the graphics are bad and the performance terrible. Sure the voice acting and the intro are laughable. But I thought that Two Worlds was not that bad: the gameplay is pretty cool, the inventory system is okay. You can have a horse and explore easily a huge map, the game isn't linear. You can even fight on a horse! But what makes Two Worlds a bad rpg is that this game has NO PERSONALITY. The story is bad, the characters are forgettable and are just quest givers, the conversation options are extremely limited, the cities are lifeless. Also the quests are bad. The combat though fun at the beginning gets boring after a few hours. I uninstalled this game after around 9 hours of playing, when I realized it was getting more and more tedious.

Good for you

I have to thank GOG for giving me weeks of peace in the evening my wife is smitten by Two Worlds, and particularly wife free evenings while the world cup is on. I read somewhere that it is a collectors dream of a a game, and that is what she does. Collect. And collect. Doesn't like to leave anything that might sometime be useful. But a huge game, very nice graphics, lots to do and search. Back in time, when we had an Atari, wife and daughter used to disappear for hours playing Dungeon Master, now if you could bring that back to life, I would love you forever.

stupid good fun

don't know what it is about this game but, of the elder scrolls knock offs it's the most fun. It's mindless questing and horrible cutscenes but, something about it is amazing.
