It's a decent open-world RPG
Some details regarding my review - I am just over 18 hours into the game - I have NOT finished the game - I have done a handful of quests (I spent 98% of the time roaming around the world) - I am level 29 I'll just say it right away-I have zero emotional investment in the story and couldn't tell you what my purpose in the game is. Two minutes after installing I decided to go exploring and I never looked back. So from now I will be looking at this as a sandbox RPG. Pros: - The world is quite large, you can go walking through forests the entire time and not encounter a single road - Health, mana and teleporter shrines are everywhere in the world - Loot selling is incredible easy-you have portable teleports near the beginning of the game! - You can combine like items so they will increase in stats - Go ahead a murder everyone! A guard doesn't want you to enter an area yet? MURDER HIM. A home inhabitant is preventing you from looting his place? Close the door AND MURDER HIM. It is actually very satisfying :) - Wide-screen support! Cons: - Riding a horse is a VERY stiff experience and you will become very frustrated with it's difficulty navigating the terrain - Organizing your inventory is a very frustrating experience. You have to manually move the items and it is not very good at detecting open slots - It does not feel very alive and you can tell everything has been specifically placed in spots - The dialogue is bland and the voice acting is...amusing - There is not a huge variety of enemy NPC's - Crafting potions is annoying. You can make permanent stat increases but if you change one ingredient then it becomes a basic elemental augment for your weapon-thereby wasting your high-level ingredients. - I couldn't navigate the character creation screen so I could have the option to choose other classes End review: Don't play it for the story. Play it for the cheap price and decent RPG experience.
