Turok 2: Seeds of Evil returns to the PC! The sequel to the hit game Turok is now available, featuring a host of enemies, weapons, missions, and locations. Remastered for today’s computers using a new engine with improved graphics, Turok 2 will transport players into sprawling environments with vicious enemies lurking behind every corner.
- Fight your way through 35 different types of enemies with bouncing bellies, blinking eyes, stretching tentacles and snapping jaws. From Prehistoric Raptors, to evolved Flesh Eaters, to your final battle with the Mother of all beasts— you’ll want to defeat all of them!
- Enemies are intelligent! They’re smart enough to attack in groups, to flee when they are outgunned, and to take cover during a firefight.
- Enemies flinch and spasm differently depending on which body part you hit.

Some unwanted features
"The game features a "ledge grab" mechanic that saves failed jumps and some otherwise unattainable platforms can be reached, found in many modern fps games. Quick save makes the game too easy, but can be ignored and only used on "save stations". Otherwise issues are few, remastered blood effects and light shafts in particular look astonishing. If an option to disable "ledge grab" will be added my rating will be changed to five starts.

Better than the first one at least
The first game is just a mindless, frustrating marathon of hunting for hours and hours for keys, and dealing with a lives count and a very limited save system. With that said, this sequel is somewhat of an improvement from the first game, and you are still finding keys, but also rescuing children, and operating machinery with the unfortunate extreme limitations with the lives count, and rather limited saves that are borrowed from the first game. I can say, however that this game has a much improved soundtrack. I'm sorry though, if this were 1998, and I had to choose between this and the original Half-Life, I would get Half-Life over this. At least in Half-Life, you have an even better method of story progression, not to mention being able to save whenever you want with its quirky gameplay features without setting you back with a lives count of any kind. This game feels like you are playing a first person Donkey Kong Country game with the horridly limited saves, and lives count. Heck, not even in Wolfenstein 3D did you have to worry about the lives, because you can still save anywhere! Not even Doom or Duke Nukem 3D had a lives count, because by 1996, having a lives count in a first person shooter was already considered obsolete and frustrating. If you want a good shooter from the late nineties, I'd go with Half-Life, Blood, or Quake II, as none of those have those ridiculous setbacks, and are very entertaining.

Fun, but some issues
I have never played this game before. I had a Sega Genesis and a Playstation growing up. Because of this I have been collecting old school games I never got to play as a kid. This is one of them. I was very excited to play however I am having a lot of frame-rate issues. I noticed other reviews saying that they are not having any problems, but I just want people to be aware that they may encounter problems like that. Some portions of the game were barely playable because of it. As mentioned in the title, the game is very fun when its working correctly.
