Trine Enchanted Edition is a remake of the original Trine with dazzling new visual effects and numerous gameplay improvements!
Both Trine Enchanted Edition as well as the original Trine are included in the Enchanted Edition. The different versions are selectable from the game launcher. All Trine purchases have been automatically updated to Trine Enchanted Edition.
Trine is a physics-based action game where three characters combine their powers to devise clever solutions to challenges created by hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics where each character's different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to overcome obstacles and save the kingdom!
The single-player game is fantastic fun, but Trine is one of those games best played with a friend in co-op mode. Finding solutions in a synergy of different character skills, perfectly timing your actions, and solving puzzles together with your co-op partner is the kind of truly rewarding feeling that only the best co-op games can elicit.
Many indie games get by with a minimalist approach to graphics and audio, making a virtue of limited resources and focusing solely on gameplay. Trine is not one of those games. It has stunning visuals and captivating audio; together, they create an enchanting combination that is almost hypnotically beautiful. Trine is a very unique experience, a slick combination of puzzle and platformer games with brilliantly executed co-operative mode. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a game that is not only fun and eye-candy but also keeps your brain pleasantly occupied.
Winner of Best Downloadable Game (GameSpot's E3 Editors' Choice Awards) 2009.
Enchanting visuals, beautiful music, and stunning attention to detail throughout the entire adventure.
Polished and fluid game mechanics make the puzzle solving process a very enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Nuff said. If other developers had such amazing feel for colors design every game would be such graphical bliss.
In some places you can expect the game to be really hard but using brain you can conquer any of its obstacles, it's not impossible.
The gameplay is very rewarding, every new location is awesome as you pilot a warrior a thief and a wizard, one at a time, switching between them, solving puzzles, sometimes fighting as well. And the sequel is only improving on everything.
A must have game, even if for the visuals alone!
Everyone says the game's graphics are beautiful - and indeed, to try to overstate that would require a serious sitting studying a dictionary - and I don't care in what language. I noticed myself often delaying the solving of the puzzles to take in the vistas a little longer, hoping there'd be an easter egg that'd allow you to walk off the path and into the backdrop in 3D.
Ari Pulkkinen's (of the Angry birds fame) soundtrack also fits the game perfectly - it's like he and the art director were seeing the same dream when the game was being developed.
The gameplay and dynamics are fluid and seamless. The puzzles aren't hard enough to fool you into thinking you need to fill your Mensa application, but they don't really need to be. Trine is one of those games that even if you don't like the puzzles, the abilities, enemies, or achievements in some regards (personally I think they're fine), you can't not like it. You start it up, and something inside you starts feeling... enchanted, to an extent where you don't care about uttering a cheesy line like that.
The only negative that comes to mind is the final level. You're getting lost in this fun fairyland for hours and suddenly, out of nowhere, you're thrown into this Mad max den of lions with a timed bomb strapped to your back - and even if you're like me and don't like cursing, watch out. That $&#@*%n level's gonna get you. However, change the difficulty to "easy" and then it's almost too simple for a final level.
I don't normally play side scrollers, but I bought Trine based on the screen shots and the talk about how pretty it is. And boy am I glad I did.

The pros are variable gameplay with three unique characters, inventive level design, precise controls, reasonable difficulty, RPG elements, nice graphics, good music, and sounds. The only cons I have found here are the low variety of enemies and the story presentation. This game has also local co-op that I did not have a chance to test but it only highlights that the game is suitable for family playing and thus for fellow gaming fathers.
Pros:
- variable gameplay
- level design
- precise controls
- balanced difficulty
- RPG elements
- graphics, music and sounds
Cons:
- story presentation
- variety of enemies
I am giving this nice puzzle action platformer Thumbs Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 9 out of 10 – highly recommended.
