Headache inducing
If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing lights, you should not play Tower of Guns. I don't have epilepsy, but I find the game starts to give me a headache after 40 minutes or so. There's also no save feature, so playing through the game in small chunks is not an option. Gameplay is solid enough, though I prefer Ziggurat does it better.

Nothing like Doom or Quake at all!
A game I bought based on the reviews here on GoG.com, gameplay thats feels like Quake, OK im you got my attention, lots of dodging and the likes. Sign me up. I couldn't get myself past the fifth room. The FIFTH room. The game feels empty, bland rooms, bland enemies and bland movement, seriously nothing seems to have impact and there is no purpose to the game at all. I don't care for stories but I don't know what the hell im doing here, even Serious Sam made more sense. That said I never touched the game again. Good thing I bought it on a sale. I am a massive Doom, Quake, Heretic, Serious and Painkiller fan but this game didn't fit into that line of games.

Prepare for frustration
An interesting game fraught with bullet hell style levels. Difficulty curve starts moderate to high depending on how the random level generator rolls, and does not plateau or decrease with power-up acquisition. If you are a fan of games that start hard and never let up, then this is a good game for you. If not, then you might want to reconsider.
