Not mad Crystal Dynamics, dissapointed
I purchased this game elsewhere but can't bring myself to spend money on it again, even at GOG. Tomb Raider has a reputation for fun this game (and #2 that came afterward) doesn't uphold. There are some aspects of the gameplay that are very good, and the graphics engine is okay, but the game is severely lacking for the main character, story and setting. There's nothing about this game that would place it as an actual Tomb Raider series game, so it's essentially only Tomb Raider in name, nothing else. There are some great things about the gameplay mechanisms that would be nice to see in a Tomb Raider game that was more true to the story/themes and gameplay of the historical Tomb Raider games. Playing the game is a unenjoyable punishment after a certain point, it gets lame and boring fast once you play it through about half way. Rather than being a Tomb Raider adventure game with puzzles and ancient ruins, this game is more gristly, unpleasant, jarring and scary as if developers were attempting to place the game into the same genre as Resident Evil.

Unplayable on AMD RX 6800 XT
Recently bought an ASUS Radeon RX 6800 XT and unfortunately the game can't even be played with it. 😓 If I'm lucky I can get past the intro movie before the game crashes. Otherwise it crashes after a couple of seconds in the menus. This game works perfectly on Steam though with the same computer and graphic driver which makes no sense at all. And other people reports this as well. Please fix this GOG - I rather play games here instead of Steam!

Not Playable
This is a console game ported to PC. Expect SEVERE problems with 'keyboard & mouse' input. The input problem will kill you routinely. Get used to using the 'reload checkpoint' option. Also, with the keys not registering when pressed, getting past the QuickTime Action scenes is almost impossible.

Decent game, but my shoulder gave w.o.
I played only about 7 levels into the game and the game itself was ok, but one mechanism killed my shoulder and I had to give it up. it is this stupid mechanism where you have to keep holding the right mouse button in order to aim a weapon. In the course of a few hours this caused severe muscle pain in my right arm and I suffered from substantial pain for the next weeks, got syringes etc. I dont understand why it was not possible to automatically show the crosshair when you pull a weapon instead of forcing someone to keep the right mouse button hold down for minutes? Maybe I am more sensitive to this than others but it ruined the game for me , as well as my health for the next month. It's a pity because I would have liked to finish it, but I immediately deinstalled the game after that and wont play it ever again (maybe with joysticks).
