Tomb Raider: Anniversary

its fun in some levels but after a while it just gets frustrating the amount of times lara misses a ledge she is supposed to grab, also grapple glitches occur often. bosses are tedious and drawn out too long. its not a game you can play continously because its good to take breaks from it as you will just end up rage quitting.

Let me start with saying this game isn't bad. It's the game with better controls and level design in the LAU series. What I don't like is the random difficulty spikes and how the game, although beign a prequel to Legends, looks like it's from a completly different series. The game is good for what it is, a remake of the first game.

Its good and fun but controls are sluggish, the game expects you to figure out some not at all obvious things on your own and bad controls also make combat suck a little and you are supposed to fire one bullet per mouse click or controller trigger press which is just really bad design. ( solved it using mods) also can get a bit boring since there's a lot of traversal before and after any action or cutscene. Overall decent game, but weakest of the trilogy

I am old enough to remember the pre reviews of Tomb Raider, and the anticipation as a very young teenager of that game coming out. It was indeed the early days of 3D gaming, think Doom on sharewware era, and this Anniversary edition capturtes the feel of the orignal, but adds a more dynamic and rewarding control adn movement dynamic, loving it!, thanks for making this game, I've played the newer Tomb Raider games, and tbh, the original format is still the winner for me, visuals are nice, but Gameplay is what makes games classics! <3

I would have liked to enjoy this game after finishing Tomb Raider Legend, but the fact that you're constantly forced into combat with animals, which were already the most annoying kind of fight in Legend, made me quit after about an hour. Mindlessly running and jumping around while equally mindlessly pulling the trigger just isn't how I want to spend my time. I'm still giving it 3 stars because what I saw from the puzzles the game offers was interesting. If you like puzzles and don't mind the animal combat you will get some enjoyment out of this game.
