This game is sold on GOG as the main game only, unlike steam which offers Desert Siege, Island Thunder and Jungle Storm expansions. If and when GOG decides to fix this with the addition of the expansions, this review will serve as a heads-up to prospective buyers.

Forget all the updates and modern regurgitations of this game, this is THE definitive Ghost Recon. Superb squad based tactics, the ability to pick and choose your squad members, unlock new members and skills, wide open terrain and more varied missions than you can shake a stick at. This is how the modern versions should be, not the dumbed down consolified clap trap they pile on us these days. If you want a sqaud based tactical shooter done right, this is the game you need. Let's hope they release Desert Siege and Island Thunder add-ons PDQ!

Will not comment on the game as there are many good and constructive reviews already. This release does not include the two expansion packs the game received. They can however be purchased on Steam, so I recommend getting it there despite the DRM. I don't know whether it's GOG's fault or Ubisoft's, either way get it on physical or on Steam for the full experience.

Didn't realize it lacked the DLC when I bought here. Still wouldn't have bought on Steam because they don't have DRM-free, but it's frustrating. I might have simply held off entirely had I known. GOG, go to Ubisoft and ask them for the DLCs to this. Please!

Rainbow Six but with more open environments and in-game tactical options on the fly. In-game tactical options instantly makes this better then Rainbow Six IMO. If only Rainbow Six had it...anyways Ghost Recon is an incredible game and I'm not gonna bother making a real review because GOG doesn't have the expansions. Please oh please add the expansions GOG.
