Oh my God, what did they do to Gwent...
Note: I was playing Gwent only in The Witcher 3, never as independant game. So if you liked Gwent in Witcher 3, do not buy this - I would refund if possible. Gwent lost its strategical feeling, currently it is jungle of special rules. Power of card doesn't count much, or even helps your enemy. Clue is in using card secondary and tertiary abilities, and with help of next cards - quaternary combos. Rows doesn't matter, it is just to group cards to activate some specail abilities. The game reminds more Incredible Machines, where victory is reached by logically absurd but visually pleasing contraption. And this is my next complaint - cards abilities are not connected to reallity in any resonable way. Like shootng unit that shoots its armor (power of attack is its armor, that is nullified after attack), and this armor is first gained number of cards in given row. Obvoiusly, Gwet always was figurative, but strong unit was strong card. Currently I have a feeling, that this is purely numbers and matchs game, not bound by any connections to reality. So I had no pleasure from card game. I had no idea why I won or lost, and how to know if my cards are strong or weak. Gwent games are more ridlle with only one good solution, then startegy. Summary: If you played independant Gwet, you probably know what to expect and make your choice. If you liked Gwent inside The Wicther 3, you most probably will be broken by this "something", that was Gwent game before.
