An Absolute Masterpiece

The Witcher universe is my favorite world to escape to, and the Witcher 3 offers an amazing experience. I just cannot recommend this game highly enough. And when the GOTY edition is on sale, its absolute steal. Both DLC's are superb with Blood and Wine being the best DLC ever made for a game. A little caveat...I highly recommend playing the Witcher 2 first. The game has aged quite well (Witcher 1 has not) and some of the story and characters are so much more meaningful when you've played through the previous story.

Go and fetch it, you'll thank me later

Honestly, from a player that has always HATED dungeons and dragons and derivatives, I can't recommend enough this game. The graphics are awesome (for a 6 year old game), in my gtx950m it works at medium-low settings, but with nowadays pc you're going to enjoy some quality graphics (specially with high definition mods). The sound is amazing and the ost is well chosen, it's dubbed perfectly in multiple languages and the stories are both breathtaking and heart moving. The crafting system is complicated but not Fallout 4-diogenes-syndrome complicated. Forgot to mention that it has the best DLC's I've seen since fallout new vegas. I should be ashamed of myself not having played it before.

5 years on and this is till my benchmark

It's such a shame to have seen CDPR fall from the highest of pedastals with the release of CP2077. Fortunately there is still Witcher 3 which, to me, is still the highest of gaming benchmarks. I think in someways it may have spoiled me. I find it so hard to get into games these days, especially thanks to them being unfinished and buggy as hell. I frequently find myself comparing games to Witcher 3 and I don't see that changing any time soon. Everything about this game just shows how much care and attention to detail went in it. The writing, the dialogue, the characters, the world, the stories....everything is just perfect. Sure, the combat isn't the best, but that's not why I play the Witcher. Still the best game I've ever played and, by the looks of thing, the best game I will have ever played for a long time to come. Long live the king.

At this time broken unplayable product

This review is not about the story or anything like this. It is about the state of TRYING to play the game. I had 5 crashes in 20 minutes, HOW is this not fixed yet. I will change my review IF this gets fixed.

Next gen version

Very bad technical condition of the next gen version, even after patch 4.04. The previous version is one of the best games ever made. Hopefully a new patch will fix the game soon.
