Been gaming since the Atari 2600 and I'm not ashamed to say this is the greatest game I have every played. Thanks for such an enthralling experience CDProjekt. Looking forward to the next game you're currently brewing.
W3 is the best game I've ever played.
Arguably, the best game ever made.
Groundbreaking, deep, witty, funny, touching, entertaining, epic - W3 embodies all of these words.
If you love RPG's it's worth your time and money.
I loved the original Witcher game, but struggled with Witcher 2, because it threw you in at the deep end with little training. As a result I found the combat difficult, and in the end just gave up on the game. My experience of Witcher 2 put me off gettting Witcher 3 for a long time, as I was worried that I would struggle with the gameplay and combat again.
In the end I bought Witcher 3 on offer and wow, what an amazing game. Initially I struggled with combat again, but learned that just hacking and slashing with your sword doesn't work. You need to learn to dodge... a lot! Dodge.. dodge.. dodge.. strike. Until you get the hang of dodging, combat will be difficult. (I'm looking forward to going back and trying Witcher 2 again with my new found dodging skills!)
Once the dodge was mastered, the game is just incredible. A rich world full of things to do. Detailed interesting quests, many of them fully voiced with cut scenes and conversations, and a huge map to explore. I've played 70 hours so far and have only completed less than 20%. I still haven't visited 2 of the available map areas.
All in all this may just be the best game I've ever played.
Geralt really got me! Its a truly incredible game, with an outstanding love for detail.
Living in Switzerland and having very good knowledge of armor, weapons and architecture of the middle ages (12th to 14th century) i must admit that The Wild Hunt is giving a good idea how living was back then, including the insanely brutal inquisition starting around Anno Domini 1250.
In our little country there is alot of historical material preserved, allowing direct comparison with the game. Obviously the makers of the Witcher series have done their homework!
Hey there are even storys of Basilisks still living back then, you find them on many contemporary paintings !!!! Cruisin the wide open landscape on the back of Roach gives truly a sense of freedom but also reminds us, that life was usually short back then...
And yes, romance ! I'd only wish, that the decision for Triss or Yennifer would have had bigger impact on the story and the primary company. But thats all...technically the game runs absolutely flawless on my PC, on max detail, without crashes and minor bugs only ! My deepest respect for those who created this great peace of modern art !!!
I'm a big fan of Sapkowski and his Witcher stories since my teenage. When the first Witcher game came out I was thrilled. They managed to keep it true to Sapkowski's original stories and characters and bring new stories to the world of Witcher. And what can I say, the third Witcher is the best Witcher game so far, so it is the first time I've invested also to expansion pass as this game is worth every penny you spend!
