巫师2：国王刺客加强版

All the Witcher games are great, but this one is my favorite for its balance of world-building and engaging story. If you love the genre, don't pass this one up.

I see that a lot of reviews are advising to play Witcher series games in a certain order which is different from how the games were released. Witcher has an amazing story and is a great series to play if you are an RPG or action RPG fan. I strongly advise you to play Witcher 1, then Witcher 2 and then finally progress to Witcher 3. Yes, Witcher 1 and 2 WILL feel dated, but they are not THAT dated. You will appreciate the main character, understand his development / predicaments, and also enjoy the evolution of graphics, story-telling and gameplay mechanics. You will also enjoy Witcher 3 more once you compare it to its predecessors - you will see how far the developers have come. Having said this, Witcher 2 is the weakest instalment in the series in my view as it is closer to an adventure game with rather linear storytelling and locations. Not a lot (if any) of travelling back and forth between towns and villages. However I would still play it because it introduces you to a great number of characters you then meet again in Witcher 3 - you will simply miss on many nuances and innuendoes if you skip through this game. I envy you if you have not touched this series - it is a treat of note.

One of the best games of all time!

The Witcher 2 is really my personal favourite of the series, yes, I like it more than TW3. The diverging story.paths, characters like Iorveth, the overall atmosphere, the thematic "open world" hubs; all of these things really captivated me and got me interested. Rarely had I the feeling of just playing out filler content. Another thing which I always loved about the entire Franchise is the wonderful combination of fantasy and "realistic" medieval art design, gorgeous!

I think this is a challenging game with one of the greatest stories ever written. Its not a hack and slash game with button mashing, it really does take the time to know the game well to pay attention to all the tools it has to offer. Its about knowing the monsters, getting knowledge and learn all the diagrams to craft the necessary bombs, and potions and upgrading your equipment to survive. Combat is a challenge! But the more prepared you are, the more you have the upper hand. Definitely worth to play it for All Witcher fans!
