After thoroughly enjoying the first Witcher, the next game in the series leaves much to be desired. The combat is simply horrid and flows very poorly as compared to the first one, and hitching and bugs are replete throughout the game. Perhaps the worst part is the extreme problems related to patching the game. After multiple installs and uninstalls the game refuses to work correctly. It's unfortunate because the story, art and acting in the game are superb, but it has been years since I have encountered a game with this many technical issues. Here's hoping that the next will have better QA before it is shipped.

They consolified the interface and made everything unintuitive. Check out interface screenshots before throwing money away on this. Many keys unmappable. Alchemy is a pain now. Graphics look inferior, and the voices have changed too much. For me, this is a sad ending to the series. Too bad they did not just have the story loadable by the W1 engine. Inventory is hideous beyond comprehension.
