Its Very good game

One of best deal if it's discounted! Great if you're looking for fine adventure in great universum... for few bucks. Pros: + interesting protagonist - you play as Geralt ;) + unique universum and atmosphere + verry good music + not bad visuals if it's set on max + combat system better than people think - just need to remember this game runs on Aurora Engine by BioWare - so it's just little "retro" ;) + your choices matter - multiple endings Neutral: = story - for me it's kinda love/hate relationship - but for sure interesting Cons: - sometimes lots of backtracking - you can fell lost during some quests (need solution) - closed "chapters" - you can't go back to previous locations if you progress the story, even if you want to complete sidequests. Want to revisit Outskirts and Village? No can do if you already are in Vizima.

If you love the series and the story it's a great game. Lots of interesting quests and interactions. Unfortunately the combat is essentially guitar hero with one chord, just click at the right time. If you don't enjoy that then don't buy it.

I absolutely love this game, it has some of the most fun and dark story telling out there, while still giving you a sense your choices matter for the outcome of the story. If they remade this with modern graphics, I would even say it would be as good if not better than witcher 3, which is the best open world game out there. Cant recommend it enough, just wonderful storytelling.

Witcher 1 is my first exposure to the witcher franchise, and it's sold me on it. The combat was a little off, the character models are and body language are somewhat distracting, the movement is a bit awkward at times, but beyond that the Witcher 1 is a perfectly fine RPG with great writing, voice acting, and visuals that I'd argue, still look pretty good to this day. Well worth trying out!
