Daedalic are really good with the adventures, graphic is amazing, script good, but - apparently it's meant to be for hardcore adventurers and masochists. And get a box of Xanax before starting to play. Yes, it's really a change from the other funny and half funny adventure games, but having a depressive comments almost all the game.. L How many of the development crew committed suicide? Otherwise - it's a demanding puzzle game and very nicely done.
The art is very pretty and the voice acting is good, but I struggle to find much else to recall fondly. There are many items which are outright hidden from the player just by being hard to see on screen. There's a "highlight objects" button which remedies this problem but it's silly that this is required instead of being a shortcut as it usually is. Plenty of the puzzles have unsatisfying, barely-logical solutions and it even does a "keyhole and newspaper" puzzle completely straight as it weren't an embarrassment. The worst part is the ending, which is a big twist which should change the meaning of all the events in the whole game but really just renders them senseless. It's a pretty rank cliche to boot. I got spoiled for it and I was still cringing at it.
This game has great handdrawn graphics and nice musical score. Sadly everything else is bad. The biggest problem is nonsensical puzzles that defy human logic so playing without walkthrough is extremely frustrating and practically impossible. The story is rather weak, many characters are unremarkable and English voices are often annoying, especially voice of Sadwick. Plus there is lots of useless chatter and would-be jokes that are not much funny. I played only half of the game and rest of it watched on YouTube. I was glad I did it because second half is not better than first, maybe even worse. Still for graphics alone is worth to watch the game but I would not recommend to play it because of very bad puzzle design.
This game seems to have been made for a tablet and then ported over poorly to pc. I couldn't figure out how to interact but you have to hold left click, then a wheel pops up and you have to choose 3 different things. That's a lot of clicking just to interact with 1 object. The voice acting seems off, and I'm not even going to play it. Probably has a good story and art as usual but it doesn't feel functional.
