A tight and taught story that just wouldn't let me go, not until the very end. Most importantly of all, Telltale have delivered on their original remit, to allow players to make meaningful choices that truly effect those around them.

This game will be completed.
I just write this because there is so much misinformation going on and after doing a little research I found that Telltale has filed for bankrupcy and that there is a crew of 25 people finishing the Minecraft Story mode adaptation and The Walking Dead Final Season finally closing after those two projects are finished. I don't know if you should buy the game if you haven't already, this is for those like me that suddenly found out of the news and nearly got a heart attack. Keep calm, don't panic. This game will be completed.

Fantastic end to a fantastic series
Telltale went out on a high note with this game (thanks to Skybound Entertainment stepping in to finish it). The Final Season is a great conclusion to the series. Clementine has come full circle and is now Alvin Jr's protector, just like Lee was her protector in Season One. What kind of person AJ becomes depends on Clem's actions (your decisions). Will she teach AJ to hold on to his humanity or show him that only the strong can survive in this cruel world? Unlike previous entries, this game provides somewhat difficult challenges to overcome. I found myself at the game over screen a few times while playing. There's even a combat system for fighting Walkers. I found myself engaged in the gameplay as well as the story. Pros: +Engaging story +Perfect conclusion to Clementine's character arc +Downright beautiful visuals +High quality animation +Variable dialogue and choices add to replayability +Gameplay that provides a decent challenge +Great music Cons: -Side characters aren't as fleshed out in The Final Season as they were in Season One & Two -Endings are slightly different variations of the same ending, unlike the amazing branching endings of Season Two

Telltale has said that several of its partners have come forward expressing interest in helping this series come to an end, so have hope!

Telltales Finest
Telltale's The Final Season is a satisfying conclusion to a story that spanned about eight years, however it can be enjoyed without playing the previous seasons. The character interactions and voice acting are the real strengths of this season and indeed of the series, and the main reason why I would recommend this title. The dialogue choices format is gripping at times where often there is a time limit while your response can also have consequences, either immediately or later on as the story unfolds. Without spoiling anything for anyone who intends to play this, dialogue choices do matter and I had to play through again to experience the full story. The graphics are quite interesting and a massive step up from the first season. Character faces are all unique and pleasing and enhancing effects such as depth of field and a variety of camera angles make the experience feel cinematic. The series is based off the comic books and the art direction takes this to the next level. Some scenes are quite unreal and enhanced the atmosphere greatly. The interactive events were enjoyable most of the time, however there were one or two instances where aiming was just annoyingly hard to complete and I just wanted to move on, but that's my opinion. The game does introduce a few open area combat sections where the character can utilise traps or use a bow which was quite enjoyable. The last part of the ending was completed after Telltale shut down and the quality does drop a bit, however the end is very satisfying and I'm grateful that they concluded the story of these incredible set of games.
