The Thaumaturge is a touch underdeveloped and rough around the edges in some respects, but it delivers where it counts, serving up a unique, immersive world, affable cast of characters, and a satisfying amount of freedom to chart your own course. The Thaumaturge bodes well for the upcoming Fool's Theory remake of The Witcher, but it's no mere audition. This is a memorable RPG that casts a strong spell all its own.

The Warsaw wizard amazes
The thaumaturge Is an RPG game focused on dialogues featuring choices, manipulation pover with the power of one of our dimension, like the heart and deed, and the pride system, which can lock some options, but opens as much at the same time. Investigations and turn based combat, I know It has shortcomings, like the lack of inventory management, and the simplified detective part, It's pros far outweigh them. The historic mixes with the supernatural, the characters, (e.g. the main character, which became one of my favorite MC in gaming overall) and the adversaries we face are speaking specifically to me.

It has its moments
Pros: - Nice graphics. There's even an option to disable graphic "enhancements" like bloom and blur. - Original concept. Cons: - Bad performance. - The game world feels very small, and the camera always fixed in one position. You can't even rotate it. - The combat system is quite clunky, and there are quite A LOT of combat scenes. It gets very tiresome after a while. Most of the fights are mainly with hobos and drunkards for some reason. - The game doesn't let you feel like a badass mage. One of the features of thaumaturges is the influence on people's minds, but the game lets you use it very rarely. Usually, all problems are solved with fists. - Uncomfortable interface. For example it's very hard to read clues since they are very unorganized. - Lots of glitches. Dead enemies standing in place, black screen freezes, etc. - Thaumaturges don't fit into the game world at all. The world around is still Warsaw 1905. - The player's clothes and hairstyles are painfully generic. - 95% of characters in the game are ugly. Models of characters feel very low effort. - The game allows you to take sins from different characters, but in dialogues, you can only use your own Pride. Lost opportunity here. - Dialogues are sometimes inconsistent. - Feels slightly woke for the Warsaw in 1905. Regardless of that, I still liked the game. It has a few original ideas, but it looks like devs were really limited in time and resources to fully implement everything.

Old school and yet modern.
It has that old school feel of the old RPGs, combining the isometric view for quests and turn based combat as in the old FInal Fantasy games. The story is also good and interesting and the fantasy elements are fresh and new though still leaning on folklore.

interesting game
the setting for this game is certainly different and unique which kept my attention. Combat classic turned based RPG similar to persona in my opinion. Story was a little hard to follow at least for me but it might make sense with a 2nd playthrough. overall I'd recommend it.
