the game refused to start, so i searched for every fix for days, only started after i deleted the vulkan-1 file in the .bin, then didn't launch ever again, am seriously considering refund, since i have a compatible config, and theres a long list of bugs and strange fixes to them, avoid this game like the plague until there's a real change. the internet is rife with buglists and strange fixes to them. if like me your not a pro and don't know everything perfectly about drivers, your config, how game architecture works... then wait for elden rings.
After playing sometime my eyes started hurting due to imbalance lighting, looks like this art director was not even sure what he was doing.
He should be punished for ruining this fantastic game.
This is one of the worst souls like on the market. Stupid story written by 5 years old kid, artificial difficulty and awful level design espesially late game just kill all fun you can have here. Play Hellpoint instead of this nonsense.
The game seems promising at first but the game falls apart in many aspects.
The fighting focuses on parrying alot against many enemies. Parrying itself is not really that hard. You have to parry from the correct direction. Above, below or one of the sides and an arrow tells you which direction is the correct one for pretty much every attack. The arrow will only appear though, if you have equipped the right implant and since parrying is a basic mechanic against most enemies one of your implants slots is set from the start.
Anyway, you can spam the parry move so often that timing is almost irrelevant. A missed parry takes only a fraction of a second and doesnt cost much stamina. Additionaly, the stamina regenerates extremely fast. So you spam the parry and make the character goof around like he is on a rave when it should look like hes fighting in a post apocalyptic world.
But thats not the main problem with the fighting. In addition to your health and stamina, you got another bar for energy. Some implants can you energy to active additional abilities. I didn't rly bother to test much out since you get the perfect pair of impants very early in the game.
Basically you can exchange energy for health potions. And at a ridiculous pace
Everything you need to do that is in the first hour of the game. The first small boss drops a weapon that generates more energy than any other weapon i've found in the game. And other implants get you energy when you get hit.
At the end of the day, the fighting consists of constantly exchanging energy for health potions and dying becomes almost impossible against many enemies. Learning the game isn't rly smth you need anymore at this point.
Oh, and the graphics arent bad but somehow look a little worse than Surge 1.
But the main critique i got is the easy difficulty, the parry spam and the infinite amount of health potions.
This game has no suppport forDX11. If your game card does not support Vulkan (or it is badly suppported), it is a crashfest.
Forums in GoG and steam are full of people unable to play the game for10 minutes or even START the game.
How can you cut out a large part of the player base and enrage the remaining part.
Manage to play this game is a basically a lottery.
Bad design choices.
