Found workaround for Widescreen

1) Install Game, start it and enter serial 2) Run regs.cmd in game folder as admin (Serial is now stored in registry) 3) Download and install aLobby 4) Start aLobby in order to let it install additional files to game folder (no registration and login needed! You can close it now) 5) Run the newly created s3ce.exe in the game folder as admin --> it's a modified exe which supports widescreen. 6) Play the game via Hamachi or other VPN with friends! (they have to use the same exe)

Good old game

I love the Settlers 3, have played it since I was a boy - great progression, from start to mid game - end game can be a bit unchallenging though

Great experience-some problems at first

I couldn't get the game to start, bo forums helped with ofline install files downlaod from gog webpage. Then serial number problems, that can be easily solved, by "fix" option on the tilte. After this, games as it should.

Works for me on Windows 11

Firstly, I could not start the S3 on Windows 11 after downloading the game directly from the GOG desktop app. After reading other comments in the reviews, I downloaded the offline installer from GOG and installed it on top of the existing installation. Then I downloaded the .exe file from Settlers United which enables you to run the game on W11, play online with friends and even displays the game on my 34" monitor. What else you can ask? On the contrary, sometimes the game crashes and sometimes I see map glitches, but overall OK.
