7900XT, 5800X3D, 32Gig ram and installed on a SSD. This game is stuttering like crazy. Last time I had this much stutter was when I was trying to play GTAV on my 2010 7850HD.
The game was fun. Story was a bit generic Sci-Fi corporate dystopia with some humour (think Borderlands). Music was fitting. VO was great, characters well written (though with a severe lack of PC romance).
As for the gameplay; interesting concept with the (optional) stealth sections, time dilation for combat is always cool, branching dialogues / problem solving. Vertical movement though was terribly implemented: low jumps, issues with uneven terrain, and annoying ladders. Level limit is also too low in my opinion (so I'd recommend modding - in lieu of Spacer's Choice Edition).
All-in-all solid product from Obsidian, though going mainstream / 3D - as opposed to isometric - makes the writing (and its scope) suffer a bit.
The Outer Worlds has sharp writing, fun combat, and great companions, but it's too short and too easy. Excellent if you like Fallout but wish it took itself even less seriously. Just don’t expect depth past the witty dialogue.
I like this game so far, it has a nice feel and runs well BUT the menu for flying with your spaceship is awfull, and when I mean awfull it looks like it was generated with early LLM because it just makes my eyes hurt, apart from that voice acting is good shooting is good, nothing revoliutionary in this genre
