Recommended
Gameplay reminded me a bit of "Gone Home" with a dash of "The Room". Marking unsolved puzzles on the map was definitely appreciated. What I do not appreciate, though, is having to re-play the entire game to experience the other ending.

Clever, engaging, atmospheric
I loved the Victorian aesthetic and spooky atmosphere, with the penny-dreadful covers lying everywhere etc. Puzzles are hard but not impossible, the hints can always get you un-stuck. The layout of the house is absolutely bonkers, you're always getting turned around. Two or three very minor bugs where interactable items don't interact. Also, total nitpick but there were some spelling and grammar errors in some of the found papers. But the story itself is great, and I wish there were more first-person puzzle games like this.

Great house, weak gameplay
the game get monotonous. It can be fun to play but the primary objective seems to be unlocking doors, with keys or other means. the house is big with many rooms and drawers to open. Allot of work went into designing the house and looks fantastic and looks like it would be full of puzzles. But Most drawers have nothing you need to advance the story line (some do). The rooms only have one or two puzzles to solve. The puzzles are not that difficult and are fairly intuitive i like that part. Ending was disappointing. Almost like a movie that needed to get in the can so they hurried the ending. If they made the content of that house more exciting it would have been a great game, the environment was great.

A beautiful mansion to explore
An enjoyable way to spend a few afternoons. No jumpscares / horror, explore at your leisure. Story is perfunctory and mostly just there as an excuse for why we're in the beautiful mansion. Puzzles are mostly intuitive / fun but sometimes bizarre and I had to look up a walkthrough a few times. The hint system is almost too helpful when it works, but also in my game it stopped working halfway through (it never registered that a puzzle was solved, and kept hinting that same puzzle over and over).
