Well, the answer is here!
Build monkey or mouse-powered machines, use lasers and fire fireworks, start fires using a bowling ball and flint, throw things with anti gravity platforms or a jack-in-the-box or crack open an aquarium with a cat, mouse, alligator, cannon, cheese and more!
A childhood favourite of mine. Although it was called "Professor Tim's verrückte Werkstatt" and the main guy was a crazy young blonde dude. The levels are the same though so no complaints here. The graphics are of course very outdated but it still got some great puzzles.
Some of the greatest games ever produced for the computer. The puzzles are well designed, the mechanics feel right and solving a puzzle gives an amazing sense of satisfaction. This one is one you have to own.
One of the best known puzzle games. And its popularity is well deserved-puzzle games would never be the same without Incredible Machines. There is no need of simian's agility or random using everything on everything-it's the real challenge for the mind (but sometimes you can solve the puzzle accidentally-just like the scientist, who discovered something by accident :) ). Nice graphic and soundtrack (especially in two newer games of this pack), lots of contraptions... Maybe there is one thing that I don't like-contraptions are not too well balanced. Sometimes they are totally easy, sometimes it is quite hard to solve it--and I'm still saying about 'easy' contraptions! But don't worry, it is still worth of buying.
I loved these games when they released originally. A great tool for teaching older kids, tweens & even teens, creative "outside the box" problem solving and basic concepts of physics.
I remember one of the games had a build your own level mode, not sure if it's included in this package, but I would hope so. There were also levels where gravity was changed to equate the moon, or Saturn, drastically altering the way weight and density effect the motion of the objects.
Definitely puzzle solving at its finest! Way ahead of its time and something that should be discovered by a younger audience or rediscovered by anyone who loves solving challenging, off the wall, outside the norm, puzzles.
