The Evil Within 2 gives you more options to play your way in a much bigger survival-horror playground than the original. Although a disjointed plot and weak protagonist make it slow to get started, being pursued through an intriguingly bizarre world by plentiful and disturbing monsters kept my palms sweaty and my heart in my throat thanks to a strict adherence to the most important survival horror rule: you should always be on the back foot.

Poor UI/UX makes game unplayable
Keyboard user here. I can't get equip or use items, and after half an hour of googling, it appears that it can only be done by modifying game files. Seems like it's probably a pretty good game, but how could I know? One of these days I may get a controller and try again, but if you do not have one DON'T buy this game.

Inferior to the original.
Normies hated the original's unique but traditional design. In response they made the sequel the most by the numbers, conventional thing, imaginable. I hate it. This game is just The Last Of Us with a Evil Within reskin. Shinji Mikami be like "oh you normies don't see my vision? Fine, I won't have anything to do with actually making the sequel. You can eat what these unimaginative Bethesda morons give you lol" Shinji plz come back, I need you . . .

Game saves don't work
Games don't save or load correctly. I played a while, saved, closed, came back, there was no saved game and I was sent back to the beginning.
