The Captain

As someone else said, this game feels like combining the stories of FTL and Star Trek, and I would highly recommend it to Star Trek fans. You can tell the creators of this game love sci-fi. I don't normally play point-and-click games, but this was a massive blast. Puzzles were interesting, but as advertised there's no pixel-hunting or absurd moon logic. The biggest strength of this game is its mission design. Each world serves as a unique mission zone that has multiple possible endings that provide different rewards and narrative. The narratives are fun and there are a few that truly enthralled me. Every time you complete a different ending to a world, you get an end card, and this is maybe the best feature of this game. When you come back to the planet on future runs, it allows you the option to skip that mission and continue onward as though you completed exactly the same way you did when you earned the end card. This prevents your successive runs from dragging in the parts you're done with, while allowing you to replay whatever parts you want to. I found the game enjoyable enough that I completed every possible ending and unlocked all achievements.

This is one of the most brilliant games I have ever played, well done for developers to create such a gem of a game. I'm personally sci-fi fan, and this hit a sweet spot for me, but the game was made so cleverly and intelligently that it has blown me away while I was playing. It is so complex and with a huge amount of side quests and stories, but all is connected, and your choices matter to the end game. There are multiple ways to finish the game and there is a very nice game mechanic for replaying again the game with different choices. I would recommend this game to everyone who likes adventure puzzle games, sci-fi fans, cyberpunk fans, point and click fans, and people who like strategy games, because this game combines it all and you have to make and chose your strategy. Really brilliantly made game, with beautiful art style, huge amounts of alien planets, great puzzles, great story, great combat parts (if you want you can skip combat but I found it very enjoyable because it is turn based with strategy) and great multiple finishes.

I bought this on a whim and I have been really enjoying it. It is Star Trek meets FTL meets Space Quest. I love its version of SPACEFLEET (I don't know how Paramount isn't going after them for copyright, but I am glad they aren't). This is one of the best written P&C adventures that I have played in a long time. At the same time, it doesn't take itself too seriously. It is filled with humor and many of missions are inspired by famous sci-fi show episodes (and when I say inspired, I borderline mean copied). But I still loved seeing their take on it. If you love Star Trek, Space Quest, or even FTL (it isn't that hard), I wholeheartedly recommend The Captain. :)

I got this game free from the Epic Games store. It was an awesome journey. The art style is great, and both sides if the gameplay are enjoyable. The tactical ship fights are good but of course, the best part of the game is the mini -some not so mini-adventures that let you travel through varied planets with twists to the gameplay here and there. The game is not easy and it has good replay value. Most importantly, you'll care about your character's fate and NPC's too. It's by far the best adventure game I've played in years. Try it, stick for at least a couple of hours and half a dozen of adventures and you'll know if it's for you. I'm looking forward this studio's next game!

Best Pixel Art Point & Click Adventure for me so far! Loved the humor and the story. I just wish there will be a second part :)
