For people that didnt play the original.
Its worth playing if you like RPG games in any shape or form. The games gamplay may be of the old ways but its still a fun turn based combat. The art and rpg elements also suck you in wanting to try more.

Amazing
A faithful remaster with more than enough QoL updates that add a lot of streamlining to the game. Enjoyable all the way through, and I'm excited for parts two and three! The devs are releasing constant updates fixing things,, and they're really nice and respectful to the fans and players, which is always appreciated. A steal at 15 dollars, especially since you get the latter parts free as they're released.

An old classic I can finally play
I remember trying time after time to play these games but giving up because of the crazy save system (though it did lead to desperate down to the last gasp fights), the lack of gold to cure or recharge myself and the maps with all the traps. This has made it possible to revisit all the games with happiness. Thank you Devs

Splendid update
This is exactly what I want when a company remakes or updates a game. Leave the game the same, improve the graphics to convey what they *should* have looked like but for technical limitations of the time. 2018 graphics are able to display millions of colors, unlike the CGA/EGA/VGA screens this was made for, so the update looks beautiful. The music sounds like music, not chiptune, but keeping that almost-MIDI quality. Fabulous work. It's the game as it lived in my head.

Truly a lot of fun
I was a bit too young to appreciate the Bard's Tale and while I have spent some time with the classic version, I never beat it, nor did I progress very far. I was more about Goldbox games at the time. But when the remastered triliogy came out, I had to try it. I gave it 5 stars, obviously I like it, but really strikes me about this game is how underneath the numerous quality of life improvments that they have made (automapping, freedom of view, tool tip descriptions of items and spells, the ability to sort spells into categories...) the pure CHARM of the game shines through. For those of us who do not have nostolgia of a time gone by, who are easily distracted by the lack of things we take for granted in more modern games, that charm, that innocent core of discovery, was easy to miss. I am very greatful for this version of the game that sweeps away the cobwebs and showcases what games are meant to be.
