Experience the events that led to The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep and The Mage's Tale! The Bard's Tale Trilogy is a remastering of the classic 1980's series, one of the godfathers of the RPG genre. Create an adventuring party in the first volume and play it across all three, creating a heroic story all your own!
The Bard's Tale Trilogy contains remastered versions of all three classic games: The Bard's Tale: Tales of the Unknown, The Bard's Tale II: The Destiny Knight, and The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate! Rescue a city trapped by a wizard, reforge the legendary Destiny Wand, and travel across time and space to confront a Mad God! Enjoy a uniform playing experience across all three titles without the need for emulation or compatibility concerns. For the first time, play as male or female across all three games! Also includes other quality of life changes such as automapping for all three games, spell access, and updated equipment/inventory management. Go old school with Legacy Mode, a suite of features which will allow veteran players to experience the games similarly to how they first played them, and will be released free of charge for owners when complete.

Brings back old memories
I had all 3 of them when I was a kid and I really appreciate the updated graphics and QoL updates.

Still a classic
A lot of games you fondly remember from your childhood can be a tad dissapointing when you play them years later, but not The Bards Tale. They've updated the games enough to make them a bit more user friendly & improved the graphics etc, but without taking anything away from your nostalgia hit. I still find the first game the best of the 3 & happily can spend a few hours grinding away to get everyone ready for the next dungeon. The fact you can now use a controller as well, makes life a lot easier. I don't know if someone thats never played any of the Bards tale games would get the same experience, but for me it takes me back to my youth & if anything, I think I enjoy playing them even more than I did back in the day.

A blast from the past
The Bard's Tale is a true classic, that I played back in the 80s on my trusty Sinclair Spectrum. This remastered version has handy quality-of-life additions such as an automap --- the days of scrawling our own maps in pen on paper may have been fun back in the day, but would be far too tedious now. The graphics and gameplay are not going to tax any systems or players, but would the game hold up without the rose tinted spectacles of nostalgia? We has a quick and simple smash-and-grab looter whose simple interface leads to quick gameplay. For folks that focus on the game rather than the polish, a good time will be had.
