Twin-stick shooters can either lose their charm quickly or provide some addictive gameplay, so it's fortunate that Tesla vs Lovecraft fits into the latter thanks to its fast-paced and gratifying design.

Tesla vs Lovecraft doesn't reinvent the twin-stick shooter wheel, but it does refine and perfect the formula of what makes that genre tick thanks to its suitably meaty action, vibrant visuals and a perk system that is deeper than the sunken city of R'Lyeh.

Tesla vs. Lovecraft isn't going to win you over if you crave innovation. There isn't anything here that hasn't been seen in other twin-stick shooters, but there isn't much for those wanting something off the wall, either. The story is lacking, but the game provides a solid and lengthy shooting experience, and even though there isn't a shortage of that genre on the PC, Tesla vs. Lovecraft is good enough for fans to check out.

Tesla is the avatar of power
Great mix of science and the occult. I enjoy the work of Lovecraft and the genius of Tesla to whom we owe this modern age we currently live in. The game has many great ideas and the admiraton of Nikola Tesla's work is seen on many occasions. I love the mechanics and the power ups. It's simplistic gameplay brought me back to the game years after my first adventure and its still great and has good replay value.

Nice casual twin stick shooter
This is not going to redefine its genre, and especially in the early stages is pure survival. If you're out of luck to get good weapons and boosts early on it can be frustrating. In principle it reminds me of the recent auto-shooters like Brotatoe, Vampire Survivor or Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, minus the auto-shooting part. It's a bit of casual fun with nice (though not overwhelming) graphics and very rudimentary story. The coop feature is a nice extra. A few more enemy variations could have helped the gameplay, which does get old pretty fast. Then again, it's probably not meant for playing more than two or three levels in a row. I didn't experience any bugs or glitches. Plays buttery smooth on my ROG Ally Z1 Extreme.

Like Crimsonland except good
The developers of Crimsonland have apparently discovered level design, spent more than 5 minutes on the textures and models, and invented perks that are actually fun. TvL benefits immensely. Be sure to get the DLC too, though; it makes the game easier and more replayable.

Great twinstick shooter
If you're a fan of Crimsonland this is an insta-buy. The gameplay builds on CL2 with epic perks, more movement, the mech etc. This is my goto game for watching podcasts to. Highly recommended.
