Tex Murphy has been fairly successfully transported to the modern era, and maybe that's enough for the established fans. It's just a shame he didn't pick up enough new tricks in his sixteen-year hiatus for everyone else to take notice.

The familiar mechanics and themes of the game, combined with a better looking quality from its 90's installments, makes Tesla Effect a game fans will be happy to play. Hopefully, the humor and fun atmosphere of the game will spark interest for newcomers to the series looking for an adventure.

Great old fashion Tex Murphy
Telsa effect is a great game, a very good Tex Murphy episode !!! Minus one star because of a very very very bad translations for subtitles (they should have use google trad) and some sound problem. With a patch, this game is a 5/5 !

Tex is back, I am happy !
For those like me who enjoyed a lot Under A Killing Moon, and for the others, it's a pleasure to see Tex coming back. A lot of elements are taken from Under A Killing Moon, like music, some videos, or the famous video presentation there was at start of each day, every think is here. All the goods ingredients of adventure game of the 90's are here, it's such a real pleasure to play it. Thanks Tex!

Amazing!
This is like if we could go back in time to the 90s and change history. Where they just kept making adventure/point n click/FMV games and the genre never died. What a great throwback to a unique genre in our gaming history. If you never experienced gaming in the 90s please try this game to see how "different" and fun games could be.

Perfect mix of '90s and 2010's
I'm just in Day 2, but wow it's truly a very good sequel for now. Picture quality is truly good, it makes FMV goes to heaven. Graphic quality, not good/not bad at all. There's some low res textures, but that's not a problem at all, it add a little bit retro feeling about it. Music, is very nice. The Main theme is more hollywood than others games but it feels like someone who get knocked out few times by Life still standing on his feet and saying "i'm not dead yet, i'm back and the fight is not over" Acting, can't say because i didn't much people yet but it's as good as the old ones so good point. I'm truly fond of all the easter eggs about Mean Street/Overseer, UAKM and Pandora Tomorrow, don't see Martian Memorandum easter egg yet. For now, you truly succeded in making Tex back. You didn't betrayed the spirit of the IP, it's feels the good old 90's with the improvements of the '10s (therefore, i sincerely miss the old HUD of Pandora Directive). All of BFG people can be proud of there (their ?) works. Day One of the game's release was handle pretty badly, but now water under bridge and if next time it's handle in a better way i would be proud to be a backer again. By the way, i found the hommage to Kevin Jones very beautiful. I didn't know he passed away but now he got a building with his "name".
