You need this game.
To put it simply, you owe it to yourself to get Terraria. It has attractive, simple graphics, great combat, amazing exploration, depth that you never thought possible, the controls are spot on, and it has unlimited building potential. You will find it very easy to spend a lot of hours in Terraria. Get it. It's worth any price.

Excellent staying power
I've played this game for 3 months straight (@ about a dozen hours per week), which is 4 times longer than any other game I ever played, including Dwarf Fortress (which was my most intense 3 weeks of game playing ever) and Civilization (general record holder for me). Perhaps it's an unusually long game, or I'm getting old, or perhaps it's just really good. About my only complaints are that it has more fighting/grinding that I typically go for, and a number of things are very hard to discover in-game and require reading the wikis to progress at a less than glacial pace. Fun digging, building, fighting, upgrading, and exploring!

Awesome Game is Awesome
Great game! Retro-feel! from the dude who made Super Mario Bros. X! Recommend!! I have the Steam version though, I only have a small GOG library. NOW on GOG Galaxy and Looking for friends! add me if you like Terraria, Star Wars, King's Quest, Wolfenstein, Doom, Retro games and retro-style games, etc.
