Tents and Trees

Remember that little game that always came with your windows operating software called Minesweeper? Tents and Trees feels like Minesweeper but easier. The game is fine, everything about it is pleasant. Not sure if its really worth the asking price though, while there may be a lot of levels in the game they all feel and play the exact same way. Ten bucks for a game like this feels like it needs a little extra spark to dazzle the player every once in a while.

I bought this game when I saw it on gog since I wanted a real (DRM-free) version of the game, rather than the ad-infested one that's on the mobile app stores. Overall, the game is fairly polished, bug-free, and works well. It has a simple though effective tutorial explaining the rules of the game. Some of the less obvious things I like: * The game boots up really fast (has almost no load time), which makes it a lot easier to play a few quick rounds. * You can change the controls a bit. I like "minesweeper" settings (where right-click means specifying a mine/tent). * Has subtle animations/effects that don't get in the way I'm not sure what "local coop multiplayer" means (can't find any such option in the game), though maybe you need Gog Galaxy to play with others.
