Fantastic

Some people think "it is free so it can't be good". If this were a bad game, would GOG host it? It was the 100th game GOG did so maybe that's why it is free. Like somebody said: "they hand it to you for free, on a silver platter and still people complain". Yes the first part with the captain is hard. I had to use a walk-through a few times. But it is not stranger than other adventures from that time. Sometimes there are hints in what our hero says. I like the humour, and I can understand it is not everybody's taste. I think it is a cute, lovely game. The animations really got me. The ones with the squirrel and the hedgehog were fantastic! Thank you GOG for hosting this, when it came out originally I misssed it.

Rage QUIT!!!

I wasted all most a hour to get the mouse to the hole in the gave - so that I can seal the hole with stone and glue. And then came the rage quit. There is very little logic in puzzles and some task are too frustrating yo waste the time.

not too amazing

It was worth its 10 minutes, but the riddles were pretty crazy, the story is almost senseless and the graphics are crazy. for a free game... not ok.

Nostalgia antidote

Full disclosure: I'm not a huge adventure gaming fan. I read a raving review for this game back in the 90s, but never played it. So I thought I'd give it a try. Before doing so, though, I found that review, and re-read it. It said things like "no illogical puzzles", "no need to try everything on everything", "no need to scan the enviroment for tiny objects", and "hilarious". I'm sure that, at the time of writing, comparatively to other adventure games of the time, these were accurate statements. But as I played the game, basically from the first puzzle onwards, the game is filled with the problems mentioned above. You have to do some things several times in a row for them to give results. You have to notice a wire in a mesh of other wires of same color. You scale a wall by putting a bed spring in front of it and using it as a trampoline. I'm pretty sure we can find other adventure games of that era that did much poorer. I also think we might find some that are better. In any case, taken without any nostalgia, as a player in 2020, this games is not very good. I would only play it with a walkthrough readily available, as a form of interactive cartoon of sorts.

Average

Another generic adventure game at a time when generic adventure games were released a dim a dozen. Graphics are bland, the character models are really terrible, sound is meh. The gameplay is streamlined no cluttered screen menu scrolling or anything. It's cheesy, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. The name Teen Agent makes me cringe, but this was the 90's when adolescent scamps like Bart Simpson were idolized. Now it's not so amusing, just cheesy. The dialogue can be funny at times in a LucasArts kind of way even though it's not a LucasArts game. Overall it's really an unimpressive game, and even below average in some aspects. It's free so, you decide, mostly I felt like it was a waste of my time.
