Tank Warfare: Chewy Gooey Pass is included

Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943 - tactical battalion level combat simulation. Continuation of Graviteam Tactics series on the Western Front.

Game is comprised of two modes:
  • Operational - turn-based mode where you can shift and concentrate forces in the chosen directions, resupply and replace units, repair and refuel vehicles.
  • Tactical - real-time mode where you are conducting fire combat with the enemy, capturing territory, destroying vehicles and the enemy manpower.

Large-scale operations for the US Army and Wehrmacht with realistic organizational structure. The campaign features more than 50 detailed vehicles produced in Germany, USA and UK. Over 400 sq. km of realistic landscapes were reconstructed from topographical maps and photo and video materials.

  • Enhanced UI: functional interface of various panels, radial orders menu and other enhancements.
  • Interface appearance and customization: three variants of appearance are included, customizable unit markers (Wehrmacht, NATO, Red Army).
  • High replayability and advanced AI, which selects the best strategy based on behavior, not a predetermined script.
  • Advanced management of forces in the operational phase: reinforcement strategies and management of reserves.
  • Statistics keeping: performance of each unit is recorded (kills, losses, awards, etc.). After each battle, damages and condition of forces and vehicles, as well as telemetry are shown in the after battle statistics.
  • Battlefield simulation: realistic vision devices, smoke screens and flares, creation of trenches, explosion craters. Remnants of previous battles remain on the battlefield until the end of operation.
  • Realistic soldier behavior: each soldier has several essential parameters, such as experience level, stamina and morale, which influence their behavior and effectiveness.
  • Detailed weapon modeling and realistic ballistics: bullets and projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, taking wind, temperature and other parameters into account.
  • Advanced armor penetration: modeling based on ballistic histograms without simplifications of probabilistic methods, generation of secondary fragmentation fields takes into account many parameters, such as the change of the field shape in space, fragments and armor characteristics, armor thickness and damage conditions.
  • Complex vehicle damage system: engine, suspension, sights, weapons and targeting mechanisms can be damaged separately, affecting the combat capabilities.
  • Destructible environment: almost everything can be blown up and destroyed, from landscape surface and buildings to vehicles and enemy defensive installations.
  • Advanced control of the off-map artillery, featuring various fuse settings and shell types.
  • Formation and movement modes: lines and columns, movement by road and covertly, infantry following behind tanks, setting a delay, fire sectors, etc.
  • Automatic smoke screen laying: units set up smoke screens when enemy is spotted.
  • Dynamic change of the time of day, light sources and weather effects, influence the course of battle, visibility and area passability.

Also, you can view detailed info on each unit in the interactive encyclopedia, and an interactive tutorial will explain most aspects of the game.

Tank Warfare: Chewy Gooey Pass

November 25, 1942, part of the battle group «Blade» consisting of the US 1st Tank Battalion, attacked the German positions in the Chouigui Pass area. Despite the stubborn resistance of the German forces and air support, the pass was captured by the forces of A/1 tbn company. Tanks of C/1 tbn company captured the bridge near Tebourba and attacked the German airfield near Djedeida, destroying more than 20 aircraft and about 36 vehicles. After this raid, the battalion's tanks took defense at the pass. The German command assembled a battle group led by Major Witzig, which was to counterattack the US positions in the Chouigui Pass.

  • Area of over 36 sq. km: ridges and semi-desert with harsh terrain and extensive gullies.

North Africa Graviteam

Wow, never figured graviteam would wander over to gog, hopefully Mius Front follows Anyways, Tank Warfare is a realistic war sim based in N. Africa during '43. The game operates on you setting up your forces correctly and giving out broad orders to take objectives. This game punishes micromanagement pretty harshly with you losing "command points"(resource that lets you give orders) and units gradually becoming confused as more and more orders flood in. The game takes place on an operation level map and depending on the map you're playing with platoons up through battalions. When your forces meet the enemy you engage in tactical level battles. I will say the game's UI can be a steep initial hurdle, but once you get over it, you'll love how simple and easy it is to give complex orders. For those of you interested, I would highly recommend watching TheWarSimmer's youtube videos on Graviteam Mius Front as for all practical purposes, under the hood this game is the same as that.

Technically beautiful game

when i saw it said Tank battles i thought cool this will be fun, brought i, downloaded and loaded first time plays beautifully. Technical game, a lot flew over my head, but has got a gist of, boy does it play well the battles are great, the engine sounds, squeak of the tracks, being able to watch your tanks move close up or far above,, then watching your tanks demolish the enemy tanks, seeing the shells ricochet with sparks off the enemy tanks. First time playing this game is brilliant, i can't wait to learn all the details so i can play a lot better. just like to say Thank you GOG. ps i gave a review because a few people say they had problems loading the game.

Standard Graviteam game

+ Graviteam developed one of the most advanced wargame engine: true ballistic and LOS calculation, destructible environment and ground, highly complex mechanics such as damage model, morale, health and command level and plenty others. Graphics are pretty enough for a wargame. + Low system req. - Devs cannot into UI. With every iteration from old APOS to newest Mius front it became less and less usable for regular users. - AI is not good also.

Pro tip for those who don't see DLC'S

If you bought DLC but you can't see it, open the game, on the top right you can see version, click on it and it should lauch game updater window, in there just click "install" and your dlc's should be in your main folder. As for the game itself, if you played graviteam tactics mius front, you played this, litteraly the same game except this takes place in africa.

Not your typical wargame

This game is not for the faint of heart, it is very complex and requires a lot of learning and patients. It is amazing once you learn how to play it.
