A RETURN TO FORM!!!

This is what every Daggerfall, Morrowind, i.e. real rpg player has been waiting for. The atmosphere is as immersive as Morrowind, the combat is solid for a "scrolls like" game. The variety of weapons, armor and magic is amazing. I recently looked at how the skill trees of Bethesda games have been going backwards ever since they dropped their first release, this solves that problem. I don't even care about ES6 anymore.

From what I have played so far I would give it a thumbs up I enjoyed this game so much that I bought the first one just to kick a few bucks the devs way

Finally something to scratch that itch..

My first open ended fantasy experience was Skyrim. For a while I played it religiously before modding it extensively. Eventually I went on to play new things, but nothing quite captured the same essence. After waiting for a long time I was beginning to lose hope another would be made like it and wished someone wouldn't just copy it, but make an improved version. I thought it was crazy no one had taken the opportunity to target this audience. It turns out making a game like Skyrim isn't so easy. Needless to say this game is intending to do just that. Though not perfect (no game is), I think the devs pretty much nailed it given the limited scope; and it's clear they put in a lot of effort with what is included: a mix of Skyrim, Oblivion, Elden Ring/Souls, Gothic, and probably some games I've never played. Personally I think it all comes together to form something that is worth your time and I wholeheartedly recommend you play it, if you can see past it's inevitable imperfections.

Great game but lacks polish.

I love the combat in the game start off very weak but by the end of the game if you build properly you can one shot most enemies. Mostly used spells for my first playthrough but i want to go back and use a more melee focused build. Act 1 was good overall encountered one bug that prevented me from finishing a side quest. Act 2 I didnt encounter any major bugs although seemed like this was the point in the game where the story start to feel like it needed some work. Act 2 Felt strange encountered several bugs. the story in this area felt like a bunch of side quests that felt like a lot of filler content. the end of that area I expected more of a reaction from the people there when I finished the quest not going to go into too much detail don't want to spoil anything. Finally the ending felt a little lackluster. I am a bit disapointed we never get to go to Kamalot. Overall I enjoyed the game and I think it is fun I hope they continue to update the game. It feels like it shouldnt have come out of early access yet just due to some of the bugs in the game and maybe some improvements with the story.

Rough but enjoyable.

Tainted Grail is a dark action RPG ( from frist person perspective ). I'm digging the atmosphere and combat but the game is rough. From FPS's drops, broken quests to dodgy hitboxes on enemies. The game has it all. However despite the jank I keep playing to see what's behind another "corner". Since the game is in Early Access I would only recommend it if it's on sale or if you have extra money to burn and are itching for some dungeon exploring.
