Excellent new control scheme and features to make the 1994 FPS classic seem relevant today. My only gripe is how the level designers took a little too much liberty with the hacking puzzles and with Cyberspace. I prefer the Tron-like wireframe aesthetic of Cyberspace in the original game. It's completely redone now, and just looks like a generic colorful aeriall shooter.
Honestly a blast, really the best way to experience the OG system shock experience looks and plays great but might have to break open a walkthrough the first time but I do recommend this game to anyone who likes, classic PC games, sci-fi horror, or the other shock games
Played on normal for all difficulties.
Fantastic artstyle and visuals are crisp at 1440p
on my GTX1660 super i5 4670k rig.
Within 5 minutes of booting it up, you are in the game proper and have an entire space station at the ready
to explore.
Items are permanent in the space station, this allows you to create your own armory wherever you like as well as stockpile ammo and whatever else you dont want in your inventory at the time.
Only the occasional boss or cyberspace encounter break up the pacing, but doesnt take too long to get past.
Hope they do another one and add modifiers/mutators like Selaco for replayability.
