Really fun old game
I suggest you play these in order. It's a good continuation of the story. Good Old Game for sure. Really nice story.

I love it as much as I love the first.
The game itself has a very snow and ice type of aesthetic, truly worthy of living up to the country that bears it’s name.

It's alright
This is a direct continuation of the story and design philosphy of the first game, good old point and click mechanics. It is a good game, but I feel like it didn't reach the heights of the first one, it still has funky logic and such, but there's less of an emphasys on the absurdity of a abandoned clockwork civilization inhabitated by unhinged automatons. Also, the whole "Kate is missing but we are gonna talk about her like if she was a dangerous criminal at large" is pretty jarring. Most of the puzzles are logical and not too hard to get through, even by brute force, like that whole "melt the ice around the ark". Still, There were a couple that I had to look up because I couldn't figure them out (how was I supposed to know I had to shoot that ice stalactite? There's zero indication that is even a interactable object). Overall, it's good, not as charming as the first one, and not as frustrating as other old PaC.

An improvement on the first
First, I love the atmosphere and surreal like nature of the environment and characters. The voice acting is pretty great for the most part with Kate Walker being the standout as usual. The first was a jumbled mess of ideas but an endearing mess of ideas. Found the 2nd entry to be much more coherent and cohesive as a singular project while still maintaining the same endearing quality. I hear the 3rd is a pretty big step down but I hope they're wrong.
