I keep waiting for a Stellaris DLC to blow me away and revitalize the game for me. This one's not it. The new megastructure: A shipyard that can produce a lot of ships quickly. It is officially the cheapest and quickest mega-structure to build, which gives you the quickest access to the "Galactic Wonders" perk. It can churn out a lot of ships quickly, but once you have it you won't really need it. You also get another even BIGGER super ship that acts as a mobile base. Just in case you can't find an enemy base to repair at as you blaze through enemy territory. It can also build new ships to replenish your fleets... at normal speeds. It's nice not counting towards your fleet or base cap. On top of that, you get a few more origins. Start as a Federation leader. Be a "habitat only" species. Start enslaved to a Fallen Empire. A few others. The only one I really appreciate is the "Doomsday", that blows up your planet in a few decades after start. Everything else is Federation or Galactic community related. There are different Federation types added, but they all feel roughly the same. The only one that feels somewhat different is the Hegemony, feels more like an empire with being able to force member to join through war, and never allowing them to leave. There are also a couple of additions to the Galactic community, allowing you to join the "Galactic Council", giving you more influence over the goings-on. Out of all the Stellaris DLC (excepting human and plant portraits), this is the worst of them. MegaCorp is the second worst, and it had useful megastructures and a new empire type. Earlier DLCs really added a lot of great content, and changed the game in some incredible ways. It feels like the ideas at Paradox are starting to wear thin.
