Great 4X game (best available now)

Have it on Steam (200+ hours) with all gameplay altering DLC. Bought it on GoG as well (all DLC except last one) to support Paradox going DRM free. Awesome game that is under constant development by Paradox. Some changes are free, some are released as DLC. If you are not sure which DLC to get first, here is my list from most important to least: Utopia Leviathans Apocalypse Synthetic Dawn (this one let you play as robot civilization, so priority is up to you in some way).

Love a game that doesnt even work

Id love to play but having to troubleshoot a game right out of the box is literally the worst. Tried to reinstall and now it wont even download. Fantastic

DRM Multiplayer.

You could buy on steam Has almost the same DRM no reason to buy it on GOG. Gog watch out if this is your new way to go no-one is gonna buy games from you.

Great Game, had to delete it...

Aloha, great game, but just had to uninastall it, as semester finals are approaching I could not tear myself away from it. I recommend watching some videos on Youtube before you buy, however, since it might not be for every type of gamer. (Obviously.) Try to get one or two DLCs with the base game, it'll make your experience that much better, but even without additional DLCs, you will receive free new game content with the regular updates. Kudos to paradox for this.

Best 4x game I played in over a decade

I first played Empire on DOS in the 80s, and was hooked on 4x since then. But recently Civ (5 and 6) and Gal Civ 3 were disappointments. I avoided trying Stellaris because it was real time and I preferred turn based. This game is simply GREAT. The complexity, the game mechanics to balance end game scaling, the transitions from explore and expand to epic galaxy wide dominance and crisis defense were wonderful.
